A Community In Action

My Block My Hood My City's mission is to inspire youth, empower communities, and build a better world one block at a time.

We believe in providing opportunities for others to step outside their comfort zone and explore new communities, cultures, and cuisines in an effort to gain a greater understanding of the world.

We believe in encouraging others to fully immerse themselves in new experiences, continuously soaking up new knowledge and expanding their network.

We believe that each and every one of us needs to take responsibility for our communities; it is only through our efforts of service, empathy, and collaboration will we see our communities truly evolve.

About Our Partnership

My Block My Hood My City and The Clean Wave are connected through one of our other active partners, Marty Bhatia of Digital Ninja Consulting. Marty has been an active volunteer with MBMHMC in Chicago for years. Now living in Costa Rica and working with The Clean Wave, Marty created the parntership and is hosting on of our bigger clean ups in Chicago.

My Block My Hood My City, led by Jahmal Cole, is a powerful community building and mobilizing force in Chicago and beyond. Our values and missions align, our focus on communities that are interconnected and enabled and empowered into meaningful action is aligned. And, we are excited to add MBMHMC to our list of partners.

As The Clean Wave expands to the US as registered US Non-profit we aim to build more parternships with exceptional organizations like My Block My Hood My City in the US and beyond.
