to make living in harmony with the environment the new standard of luxury living in Costa Rica
As more land is bought up in Costa Rica, more and more forests are being destroyed for development.
By encouraging property owners to plant native trees, specific for their local ecosystem, we can reforest private land.
Every property that participates in our program will receive a “My Forest Active Member” sign/badge.
The certification will show developers that having forested land is preferred by potential buyers who seek out the natural beautify of Costa Rica and want to ensure it is protected. This will encourage them to integrate existing forests into their development plans, cutting down less trees.
Helping to finance reforestation and the purchasing of land to extend green areas and create sanctuary zones
Allowing wilderness to exist in Peace and Harmony with Human Settlements
When you sign up, your name and contact info will be added to our registry and a member of the Mi Bosque team will reach out to you.
From there, we’ll conduct a study of your property, and identify the trees best suited for your needs and the results of the study.
Landowner involvement is a critical part to the success of this project. We’d love for you to plant your trees with us, but are happy to have our experts and volunteers take care of it too.
We like to keep our program easy and affordable. The cost of the trees includes the planting and one year of maintenance to ensure their survival.
By donating, you help us offer free trees and reforestation where funds may not be available, like in schools and parks, and help us cover our operational costs.
When property owners need large areas of land reforested, we turn to our community of volunteers to help us plant trees! Sign up here to join the email list and receive notification about planting events.
When trees are chopped down, forest habitat gets fragmented into smaller patches of trees. When this happens, animals have a hard time getting the resources that they need to survive and they cross roads, towns, and electrical wires in search of these resources. This can be dangerous and even deadly for wildlife.
By integrating trees and forests into our human landscapes, we create a safer environment for them to travel and provide resources they need to survive, like food and shelter. We also create an environment that is better for the wellbeing of all people by immersing ourselves in the natural world.
