When science and passion unite, the ocean wins. The Clean Wave and Orcas Costa Rica have joined forces to bridge the gap between humans and marine mammals. This collaboration is built on the belief that education is the first step toward conservation.

Through our joint Cetacean Conservation Workshops and Field Monitoring Expeditions, we provide citizens with the tools to become protectors of the sea. By combining Orcas Costa Rica’s rigorous scientific monitoring with TCW’s grassroots mobilization, we are:

• Improving Coexistence: Teaching responsible boat handling and observation protocols to ensure peaceful encounters with whales and dolphins.

• Field Data Collection: Engaging volunteers in real-world data gathering to help map and protect critical marine habitats.

• Educational Outreach: Hosting community talks that transform “spectators” into informed Citizen Scientists.
